For women in the business world, there is seemingly a glass ceiling to their rise to leadership. Professor Nuria Chinchilla leads a discussion panel of four inspiring women leaders representing different sectors and industries from the East and the West on how they perceive and overcame the barriers to leadership positions in organisations. The event is organized in collaboration with the Barcelona City Council and the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce.

A panel of renowned women and game-changers in Hong Kong: 
Cindy Cheng, Cristina Ventura, Inma Díaz & Emily Nason

Inma Diaz

Managing Director at Morgan Stanley. Throughout the 22 years career at Morgan Stanley, Inma was based in London, Beijing and currently Hong Kong working in different departments Mergers & Acquisitions execution, Global Capital Markets and Investment Management. She has a B.A. in Law and in Music, B.Sc. in Finance and Neuropsychology. Fluent in five languages, she also competes in the triathlon and black belt Taekwondo summits. She attended an executive education program at IESE Business School.

Cindy Cheng

General Manager of International SOS for Hong Kong and Macau region, where she actively raises community awareness on duty of care and return on prevention, especially for people travelling away from home. She is also the Vice-Chair of the Women Executives Club at the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce. She has extensive Asia Pacific regional experiences in information technology, e-commerce, marketing and retail with IBM, Cognos, and Octopus. She was formerly the CEO of Dickson Cyber.

Cristina Ventura

Emily Nason

Senior Vice President of Lane Crawford Joyce Group. For the past 20 years, she has been active in luxury and technology sectors. Previously, she lead the opening of Apple's Hong Kong & South China Markets, was Regional Retail Director at Prada & Miu Miu involved in the preparation of its IPO, Operations Director for Gucci Europe and the Middle East, and held several positions in LVMH Europe and Asia. Cristina studied at HBS, Stanford, INSEAD, Tsinghua and CEIBS, speaks five languages and is Business Ambassador of Invest in Catalonia. She started and is an investor on start-ups related to education, fashion and technology.

Associate Dean and Director of Undergraduate Programs and Associate Professor of Business Education in Management at HKUST Business School. She drives strategic initiatives to strengthen the school's comprehensive undergraduate education portfolio and its international partnerships. A passionate educator, she was elected thrice "HKUST Best Ten Lecturers" and a winner of the Franklin Prize for Teaching Excellence. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration from HKUST and her PhD in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources from UCLA.
